The video, “The Texas Panhandle,” is a brief historical overview of the cultural heritage of the Texas Panhandle and  Wheeler County.  The video briefly describes the land and the people who, over time, have shaped and been shaped by the land of the eastern panhandle of Texas.  Topics covered by “The Texas Panhandle” are early native Americans, the Red River War of 1874, Fort Elliott and “Hidetown” later renamed Mobeetie.  The video runs approximately 26 minutes.

This well documented video tape was written and narrated by Bobbye Hill in conjunction with ADI Production Company.  It contains  historical fact of the Panhandle of Texas from prehistoric times through the beginning civilization of buffalo hunters and soldiers of the U.S. Cavalry.  It shows scenes reminiscent of these past times.
